Dr. Umair Ikram Dar
Controller of Examination – LCPS
Message
As a Controller of Examination, it gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to this new academic session of Lahore College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (LCPS). We at LCPS strive very hard to inculcate in our students the true values of life and professional ethics. The curriculum has been so designed that the students learn not by rote and theory but by participation and interaction.
At LCPS, we liaise with the University’s Examinations Office and the faculty regarding the examination arrangements. There is a formal procedure involving mid-term assessment of the students prior to their actual examination. We advise students to do their best in these assessments to achieve the highest grade/marks possible. The purpose of these mid-term examinations is to prepare all the students through written and viva exams.
These assessments allow students to enhance learning, skills, and understanding. Assessment enables students to demonstrate that they have fulfilled the objectives of their course and achieved the required standard. It also helps students reflect on their learning and recognize their achievements.
LCPS now offers BS-CS and BS-SE programs that focus on developing students’ skills in computer science and software engineering, preparing them for careers in technology-driven industries through a modern and industry-aligned curriculum.
LCPS has created a name for itself during its mighty 28 years and today, we are known for our innovative approach to education through well-equipped and futuristic classrooms. We have a competent team of highly skilled and dedicated faculty members, who teach more out of enthusiasm than as a profession.
It is our consistent effort to create an atmosphere on campus favorable for learning by continuously updating our students in terms of courses, infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, rich library, and proactive industry-academic relations.
At LCPS, we welcome students who want to achieve their life goals by utilizing the best of these resources, exploring knowledge and opportunities, and preparing themselves for future career challenges.
Examinations Overview

• Marks obtained in the mid-term examinations are compiled and forwarded to UOS as part of the final assessment. - The mid-term has a weightage of 30%, internal assessment 10%, and final exam 60%, encouraging continuous learning and consistent performance.
Final (Annual) Examinations
- Annual examinations are conducted by the University of Sargodha (UOS).
• These exams follow the schedule, format, and regulations set by the university.
• Final results are declared by UOS, incorporating both the annual exam scores and the internal assessment (mid-term marks) provided by LCPS.
• Students are required to follow university-issued roll number slips and examination rules during these exams.
